Adrian Shines in 1st Season

ADRIAN, MI – The Bulldogs of Adrian College are making a statement in their first year in the Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association. The newest member of Division 2 has gone undefeated in their first 10 games of their first season.

CCWHA NOVEMBER PLAYERS OF THE MONTH – The Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association Division 2 presents the three stars of the month. For November 2017, the third star of the month belongs to Erika Gilbert of Adrian College, second star goes to Mary Schimmel of Northern Michigan University, and first star of November is awarded to Jessica Killingback of Central Michigan.

2017 CCWHA Champions!

The 2017 CCWHA D2 Tournament Champions are the Northern Michigan Wildcats! This is their 3rd straight visit to the championship game and their 2nd consecutive title. Congratulations Wildcats!

SOUTH BEND, IN. – The Division 2 CCWHA championship game features the No. 1 seed, Northern Michigan, against the No. 3 seed, Notre Dame. Puck drop is set for 10:30 am at Compton Family Ice Arena.

ATL : 2.3 – 2.5

NORTHERN MICHIGAN/MICHIGAN-FLINT – The Wildcats came to the Lower Peninsula to battle the girls in blue last weekend. With 9-0 and 14-2 wins, Northern picked up the sweep. In the 9-0 win, goals came from Shauna Bates (gwg), Alison Carlson (5), Loren Holfeld, and Sydney Klavon. Mary Schimmel (2), Carlson (2), Holfeld (2), Kendall Turro, Kelsey Weyland, Bates, and Sydney Higgins had the assists in the first win. Devin Christian made 20 saves for the shutout win, while Ella Sinclair fended off 91 of 100 shots on goal for UMF.
